2008 Flying Weeks

Paragliding and Hang Gliding Weeks in Provence, Hautes Alpes.

Rachael on Ozone Atom over the Ecrins picture by Bob Drury In addition to providing accomodation and full support for flying holidays run by flying schools and clubs and for groups of appropriately qualified and experienced pilots, from our Gite at the foot of Laragne Chabre, we provide specific B&B weeks for visiting pilots at certain times, we do not however provide pilot training. For 2008 these weeks are split into 2 types. Please note weeks run Saturday to Saturday. These weeks do not include tuition or fly guiding.

  1. 'Training at Buc SederonDIY' weeks- with Bed and Breakfast and lift to take off only, whereby we provide accommodation, breakfast and morning weather briefings to pilots staying at Rebinelle and then a lift to the best take off for the day.
  2. 'Come and get me' weeks - with Bed and Breakfast, transport to sites, take offs, retrieve, relaunches, evening flying, weather briefings, GPS downloads and all transport including to the pub. Airport pick up Saturdays only available at extra cost otherwise free from Sisteron, Digne or Laragne train & bus stations. Basically, all you need to concentrate on is flying as far as possible with no worries about getting home.

The above weeks are aimed at qualified and experienced pilots who are happy to fly in alpine thermic conditions. All pilots should have a 2m radio, recently packed reserve and vario/GPS.

Training Weeks - we provide support and accommodation only for these weeks which are run in association with UK flying schools and should be booked directly with them.
